Sometimes I wonder how I make it to and from work ALIVE. I zone out pretty hard when I drive but I seem to zone out SOOO HARD lately that it feels like I get into my car and I blink and Im at my destination. It's gotten to the point where Im seriously worried that I will get into a car accident one of these days cuz Im not paying attention. Well, the scientists in my brain tell me that I zone out because I know my route to work so well that my brain isnt challegendeded enough so it wanders off to magical and fantastic adventures involving hot men and motorcycles and the Old Spice Guy. ANY-WHO, I heard once on the TV (or heard on the radio... I was super zoned out I cant remember) that its good for your brain if you change your routine a little every day. SO, a couple weeks ago I went home a different way than usual and I zoned out and got lost. I took three different freeways and finally surface streets to get home. The cool thing about getting lost is that you get to explore places you might not have normally explored. The night I got lost I was on this one street that shall remain nameless due to STALKERS, but it was the creepest and COOLEST street I've ever been on. It's the kind of street that I would love to live on one day when I marry a rich old man. It was really long and completely dark except for the lights coming from house windows or porches. There were NO street lights at all!! The street and sidewalks are surrounded by trees. There are trees in the middle of the road and theyre tall and they block out the moon and the stars. I was hella creeped out but my heart pounded with excitement! I have a super over active imagination and I often wonder what sorts of creepy monsters lurk in the darkness. Then I got SUPER scared but thankfully the street ended and I was back to civilization. It was an exciting adventure and the best part was that it took me the same amount of time to get home as my usual route. Then earlier this week I went back to that street during the day but went the opposite direction and the street is even better during the day. I wish I could sit on some rock and draw the street but Im sure I'll get the cops called on me for being a creeper and a Mexican D: Next time I go down that street I'll take a pic.
Back to my whole zone out thing, I really feel like lately I cant zone IN nah MEAN?? Its like, Im either driving, working, got my face stuck to my phone, Im staring at a computer screen etc. I gotta remember to stop and go outside and just sit there and let the sun warm my skin. We gotta remember to pause and appreciate that we are ALIVE. Also feed your bellies when you are hungry.
And finally, last night I got this horrible stabbing pain on the lower left side of my back. It came out of NO WHERE. At first I was like OH MAN WHY DID I EAT THAT CHEESE?? (cuz Im lactose intolerant) and then I remembered that I didnt have any dairy. Then I thought OH MAN I GOTS AN INTERNAL CONTUSION AGAIIIN!! (cuz I had that once from lifting heavy boxes at work [its just internal bruising]) and THEN I thought, OH MAN I GOTTA SLEEP IT OFF! So I went sleepies but when I woke up it still hurt. It wasnt as bad as it was the night before but it still hurt to sit in the car and then it hurt to walk and then it hurt to BREATHE. I thought that if I had some food it would make me feel better but then BOTH sides started hurting! Then I sat down and that hurt so then I went to the bathroom and cried, but before I made it to the bathroom I had some pain pills so the pain sort of went away but it was mostly still there. Then some peeps at work, tryin' to be helpful and what not suggested possible diagnosis to my symptoms, the general consensus being kidney stones. WHICH IS FUNNY cuz last night I tweeted this:
The shower didnt help in case you were wondering. Well, I got through work and then came home and now it still hurts. It hasnt gotten worse which is good but its just uncomfortable. Another helpful friend who we will call WILL.I.AM told me to go to webmd cuz it WOULDNT make me think I was dying (but it did) but then it said that drinking plenty of water would help me out. Water. The magical elixir of LIFE. So Ive been drinking water. Thankfully I work projection tomorrow so I wont have to lift heavy boxes. Hopefully the pain subsides soon and hopefully it isnt cancer.
THE END.
