WELL, Iron Man 2 opens next Friday and that will mark the beginning of the summer season at the box office! How exciting. By some crazy turn of fate I got next Thursday off, so I WONT be working the Iron Man midnight!! Instead, I'll be jumping from car to car using the Blades of Exile to knock down any foe that crosses my path on my journey to San Marcos to see the reason why Chewie hasn't visited me yet for our pajama and paintin' our toenails sleepover. I'm super excited.
As Fandango or IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes has already pointed out, this is the summer of sequels and re-makes. I'm mostly excited for (in no particular order) Toy Story 3, The Last Airbender, Predators, Prince of Persia, Eclipse, Splice, Karate Kid and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. I hope that the movies don't disappoint. If anything, I know I can count on Pixar to bring good quality stuff to the box office. I've been feeling so tired of movies lately. What with the sequels and remakes. Its TIRING. How many times can I watch the same story re-told, re-vamped, re-3D'd (Step Up 3D?? wtf??)? Oh and Iron Man 2? Not interested in seeing it, but I will watch it anyways cuz THAS HOW I ROLL. Oh and hey, did you hear that AVATAR is being re-released in August?? Yeah. I squealed like a little girl when I found out too. I can't wait for that Bluray with all dem special features!
Yup. Summer time will be fun. Summer time is ALWAYS fun, even though it's hot and gross. Time to reminisce about past summers... and let us not forget, SUMMER LOVIN'! *day dreams about Edward*
