And speaking of Vince, lets talk about him for a bit! He works at a new theater now! He's the GM of Cerritos uhhh 10 in Cerritos, duuhhh. It's about 20 minutes THAT way *points west* We went there to watch Bad Teacher and the theater and area is hip with the kids and stuff. Every one go visit him!
So today is my day off and I've been up since 10 AM cleaning, doing laundry and what not. And I have this HORRIBLE habit of being super productive and active when I wake up early in the morning. I can't stop until everything is done!! Well I got done with everything at around 2pm and then I was like ZOMG IM GONNA GO WORK ON THAT SUPER COOL PROJECT NAO! YOU SEE, I've recently discovered Stumbleupon.com for my iPhone and it's AMAZING. So I stumbled upon (LAWL) this picture of an office or work space I guess and they had a really creative use for poster tubes! So I says to myself I says, I GOT LOTS OF POSTER TUBES! I CAN MAKE THIS! So, I took all the poster tubes out of my car (that I took from work the previous night [THEY WERE EMPTY but thanks for INSINUATING I had stolen POSTERS!]), carried them upstairs and started my project!
FIRST first, I know the pictures aren't resized and junk but I ain't gonna change it cuz you know, me being on a borrowed computer and all I ain't got all the time in the world to take care of such details! I think the big pictures are better anyways :)
First you will need poster tubes of various thicknesesseseses, you know, to make it interesting.
Then, you need your tools! A SUPER SHARP x-acto knife. This tool will easily cut through every thickness of poster tube EXCEPT the big one. That's what that other knife is for. Use the thickest and sharpest knife you have for the large poster tubes! Always use caution while working around sharp objects!
You will also need a glue gun with extra glue sticks if you like your glue, which I do. I went through two and a half sticks for this project!
Now that you have your tools you're probably wondering, what are we making anyways?! WELL THAT'S A SURPRISE! Get a marker or a pen or pencil to measure out how long you want your baby tubes to be. I would make it at least as long as a brand new pencil!
Next, start cutting baby tubes and arrange them like so. You can make them any way you want!! But I would at least keep it balanced cuz this will be standing up-right eventually!
Once you have the arrangement the way you like it, get your glue gun and start gluing them suckas together!! When I was gluing these the design changed a little cuz I kept gluing them in the wrong spot but that's ok! You should end up with something like this! Isn't it great?!
SO, now the moment of truth. WHAT IS THIS?! It's a PEN/PENCIL HOLDER!! I LOVE pens! And I just kept them in boxes and bags and hidden away but with this nifty project I can now showcase them all in their colorful inky glory! So, get all your pens, pencils, highlighters and markers and get ready for AWESOMENESS.
So put all your writing utensils into any tube you want and BAM, awesome awesomeness! Make sure to keep your kitties away from your projects cuz they will be jerks and knock your stuff over!
And the final product! The cool thing is that you can add more tubes as you need them. I saved a lot of them in case one day I need more room! In the original picture I saw they had this mounted on a wall which is possible by just putting up a few screws and resting the tubes on them NAH MEAN? So that was my awesome project for today!

For everyone else, go bother some projectionists at your local cinema and Im sure they will punch your face then hate me for asking you to bother them.
